From August 4 to 20, San Miguel de Allende, a World Heritage City, will host the second edition of the Festival of the Arts (FASMA), a cultural event that will have Austria as a guest country.

The 12nd. edition of FASMA, organized by Casa Europa Mexico, will be an event designed to consolidate and become a tradition that offers new experiences to San Miguel residents and national and foreign visitors. This demonstrates, once again, why this World Heritage City is the heart that makes Mexico and the world beat.

The initiative and call have been joined by more than 32 most important cultural organizations and associations in the city, to jointly present around 100 events of music, theater, cinema, dance, literature and more expressions of the arts that, throughout ten days of the festival, will occupy the consolidated cultural venues and public squares.

With this, and with the support of the municipal governments of San Miguel de Allende and the state of Guanajuato, it will be the epicenter of culture in Mexico.

Many of the FASMA events will be free or will have a low cost of recovery, with the aim that any segment of the population has access to the cultural and artistic offer in the country.

“Art teaches us to see different types of reality, it takes us to other times and other worlds, it provokes empathy and makes us feel emotions; art sensitizes us and makes us want to be better. Today our country and the whole world needs better human beings; we are convinced that with this project we will have an excellent path that leads us to have a better society,” says Eduardo Adame, president of Casa Europa Mexico.
