Three SMA Rotary Clubs Host Peace Event September 21st
Never has our world needed peace more, so on the International Day of Peace, Thursday, September 21, San Miguel’s three Rotary Clubs will host a peace event at the Peace Pole in Parque Juarez at noon. Presenters will include members of the San Miguel Municipality, the US Consul’s Office, and the three local Rotary Clubs:
♦ Presidente De Comite de Proyectos, Club Rotario San Miguel de Allende Xochitl Zumaya Mejia
♦ Deputy Municipal President and former Rotary District Governor Ramón Medellin
♦ Municipal Councilwoman Paulina Gallardo
♦ US Consular Agent Erika Montes
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said, “Peace is needed today more than ever. War and conflict are unleashing devastation, poverty, and hunger, and driving tens of millions of people from their homes. Climate chaos is all around. And even peaceful countries are gripped by gaping inequalities and political polarization.”
