This year marks the 50th anniversary of the death of the “Son of the People”, whose music sounds around the world

The Dolorenses will “throw the house out the window” at the 14th Festival of José Alfredo Jiménez, from November 22 to 26. As the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhué Rodríguez Vallejo had already anticipated during the Tourism Tianguis, the 50th anniversary of the death of the “Son of the People” will be a great party.

“The State Government has been doing this important festival for 14 consecutive years where the house will go out the window. We say this because it will be spectacular, we will sing their songs, visit their canteens, serenade the municipal pantheon and much more,” said Juan José Álvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato.

The Cradle of National Independence is ready to receive visitors from all over the Mexican Republic who seek to revive the national music that has gone around the world for generations. Every year, national and international artists gather in the city to carry out cultural activities dedicated to ‘El Rey’, such as concerts, serenades, workshops, gastronomic samples and more.
