  • The “Ignacio Ramírez” Multiple Care Center will hold a parade for inclusion, leaving el Jardin towards the Civic Square, this on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, with the aim of raising awareness among citizens on the issue of inclusion.

    “I invite you to a parade through the main streets of San Miguel de Allende to commemorate the day of people with disabilities.  It will leave from the esplanade of the Garden and arrive at the temple of Health; There will be music, dances, sales, mojigangas and more. It will begin at 9 a.m. and will culminate in the Civic Square, later there will be some dances and a sale made by children and young people with disabilities of the “Ignacio Ramírez” Multiple Care Center in Colonia San Antonio, our objective is to sensitize the population in inclusion,” said CAM staff.

    For the first time, the aim is to raise awareness among the population on the issue of disability. Currently, there are around 7.1 million people with disabilities living in Mexico, which represents approximately 6% of the total population. There are several types of disability: Physical disability (it is the sequel of a condition in any organ or body system), Intellectual disability, Mental disability, Psychosocial disability, Multiple disability, Sensory disability, Hearing disability, Visual impairment.
