  • NEARLY SPRING SHORELINE CLEAN UP!

JOIN US FOR REWARDING MORNING removing paixtle from the trees and cleaning up litter  in our customary clean up area near the Amigos de la Presa boathouse.  GOOGLE MAP

    Saturday, February 20

    9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
    Location:  Below Otomi Residential Development

Although there is currently no water in this area due the release of water last spring and a lack of rainfall, it does not reduce the importance of keeping this area clean to prevent debris from entering into the water in the future and caring for the trees which provide needed habitat for birds, prevent erosion and provide shade for picnics and walks.

We will be following social distancing protocols and requiring all participants to wear face masks.

    What will be provided:

Re-usable bags, disposable gloves, sanitizing gel, fruit and water-  supplied by Amigos de la Presa volunteers.

Sunshine, fresh air, vitamin D – courtesy of nature.

What to bring if you can:

Clean up:  A 5-gallon bucket or container to collect trash. We will have dumpsters spread out over the site to help us avoid using black plastic bags.

Tree Cleaning: Gardening gloves, 6′ ladder for getting up into the trees, pruners for removing dead branches.

Please confirm your participation by email to help us plan and let us know if you will be bringing a ladder.  Send your email to: audubondemexico@gmail.com

Please invite your pals and circulate this invitation!
    Many hands make light work.
