Santas! We’re finally here for 2019 and it’s better late than never.
We’re meeting in the Jardin to gather the troops from 6-630, then hitting a couple of surprise locations nearby, where we will bring cheer, celebrate our friends and family in SMA and raise funds for a worthy local cause, the children’s orphanage of Mexiquito Casa Hogar Santuario de Guadalupe.
We’re asking for a 100 peso minimum donation and there will be a costume contest, as always, with some amazing prizes for the winners.
Please do not hesitate with any questions and always remember that Santas are respectful to the community, hand out candy to children, sing whenever possible and spread cheer with the utmost positivity.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Arrive in Santa costume or be an elf, reindeer or season greeter.
2. Santa and his merry gang keep together as a group to make their presence known. They entertain people with expressions of good cheer, they shout out Ho Ho Ho (often) and maybe sing a carol or two. They pass out candy to young and old alike, and they stop for photos upon request.
3. Santa and his gang focus on the fun, not the drink at our cantina stops. They bring cash, remember to tip and make their orders quick at the bar (no complex drinks please!) And they never drink and drive!
SantaCon supports the Annual Winter Drive for People in NeedAs in past years, we are partnering with the Sublime Guys and their volunteers to collect food, gifts and basic necessities to bring comfort and joy to the poorest of our poor – people who live and work at the city landfill.WHERE TO FIND COSTUMES
