He was just six years old, living in Nagasaki, Japan when the atomic bomb was dropped on his city. As a survivor, he witnessed and cared for friends and family during ill and dead from effects of the radiation and burns over the next 26 years of his life.
At 29 years old he moved to Mexico and began to advocate for nuclear disarmament and peace.
