Cracks in the pavement of the Pípila bridge, the construction company’s warranty covers the repairs.

The repair work on the sides of the Pípila bridge in San Miguel de Allende are part of the warranty of the work, just as when you buy something, and it is defective, and you assert the warranty, because this will not generate any extra cost for the municipality.

It was through an official statement that the municipal government announced that the construction company of the overpass “is working on the replacement of concrete slabs that presented superficial cracks, these are located next to “La Comer”, the “Pollo Feliz” and in the side lane towards Dolores Hidalgo, which is already open to vehicular traffic.”

The repair works of the affected slabs began last Friday with the demolition and reconstruction to place new material, currently, in the remaining slabs, they have already poured the special concrete of fast resistance that allows accelerating the setting time.

These actions are the responsibility of the construction company as part of the hidden defects bond, that is to say, they guarantee the repair of possible defects that may appear in the work after delivery and within the term stipulated in the contract.

The work is supervised by the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Connectivity and Mobility of the State of Guanajuato (SICOM) and the Municipal Infrastructure and Public Works Department.
