The first experience was with a group of people and everything was great – food, service, dessert and the wine, of course. There were 9 and the service was spot on.

So we decided to go back, because I couldn’t get the taste of the wonderful Tempranillo out of my head!!! This time there were 3 of us and it was just as perfect – perhaps even more.

We sat up in the dining area overlooking a small lake and part of the vineyard. We looked to the west so we were able to watch the sun slide down behind a small mountain.

We decided to try the Wagyu burgers (3 sliders). This was the first time I’d had Wagyu and it actually melted in my mouth. I ordered it cooked medium and it was more like medium rare, but SO delicious it didn’t matter. So if you like your burger with no pink, best order it well done.

Of course the wine was everything I’d remembered and even better. You can buy it by the glass or the bottle – be aware it is not cheap – 600p for a bottle/180p for a glass – but worth every peso.

The final event – the chocolate sphere – should not be missed, if you have room for it. It is a round chocolate shell filled with ice cream and a chocolate brownie/cake. They pour warm chocolate over it. Almost indescribable – I really wanted to pick up the bowl and drink it as it melted.

I made reservations though Open Table from their Facebook site. You can google them and get more info. I might add that the maitre d recognized me from the first time and moved us to a table with a better view when it opened up. Hope you will go experience this great place. It is on the road to Dolores Hidalgo and very well marked with green signs. Worth the little drive. Can’t wait to go again – also Don Day reviewed it which was why I decided to have my husband’s birthday dinner there in the first place.
