Beautiful, perfect crepes and Organic Oaxacan coffee. A delight! Owned by a lovely young couple, Max and Carolina. Max is French, Carolina is Mexican. They met in France and recently moved to San Miguel de Allende to open this little jewel of a creperia.
Today I stopped by La Crepe du Chef for the first time. Located at Calle Insurgentes 120 (Centro), open 1300-2100 hours, closed Mondays. Sweet crepes and Crepes “Saladas” (cheese, mushroom, ham, ratatouille, and more), all made in the French tradition with buckwheat flour crepes an option. They sell freshly baked breads like cheese and bacon baguettes, whole grain or fruit/nut breads, priced 35-40 pesos each. Crepes prices 50-70 pesos, delicious Chiapas coffee only 15 pesos.
