What a fabulous doctor! She helped both my husband and I during emergencies. Mine wasn’t even for ear, nose or throat. She was filling in for my general practitioner, and she saw me almost as soon as I called her. She was thorough, professional and right on the mark with her diagnosis and treatment with both of us. Additionally , she was cheerful and very caring. I highly recommend her.
ENT doctor – definitely Karla Chavez at MAC. I was experiencing vertigo for about 10 days and was really worried. My doctor told me to see Dra. Chavez I’d seen her before but didn’t think of it. She did the maneuvers to check for loose crystals – the Epley – just to rule that out. Then she cleaned my ears and removed a very large piece of hard wax! No more vertigo!
Dra. Chavez is a great doctor – and also a delightful person.

As a bonus she has. A delightful laugh which comes often
I had a consultation with Dr Chavez on July 23, 2020. Phoned for the appointment in the morning and saw her that evening. I was experiencing dizziness, light headed feeling and a loss of balance which I thought might be an inner ear issue. While in the past I had episodes of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or BPPV this did not feel the same. Over the course of a little over an hour Dr Chavez did a complete history and exam. Her conclusion was life altering in that she believed my relatively low resting heart rate combined with the lack of noise in my carotid arteries suggested that there was an issue with my heart and recommended a cardiologist for me to see. Three weeks from the day I saw her, literally to the hour, I had a pacemaker implanted to deal with both the low heart rate and arrhythmia. I write this two days after the procedure and I feel immeasurably better. More importantly left undiagnosed and untreated meant that I was a stroke waiting to happen. Dr Chavez was not the first doctor that I had spoken to regarding dizziness and all were aware of my resting heart rate. She is the only one who connected the dots and as a result improved my life and that of my family. I will be eternally grateful to her for her intelligence, diligence and compassion.
My wife and I had the great pleasure of meeting Dra. Chavez today. My wife was having severe ear pain and the urgent care doctor, this morning, could find no reason and called Dra. Chavez who kindly saw her at the end of her day. Dra Chavez is so gentle and compassionate. She clearly explained, in English, the details of her findings and plan.
I am a nearly retired academic neurologist and was quite impressed – and grateful.
