At Luna de Queso we are passionate about cheese and food. That’s why we have created a space for people who like to eat well and cook. We are committed to seeking out and promoting the best local and artisanal products in Mexico.

As our name suggests, we are cheese specialists. We are on the cusp of becoming one of the country’s best known cheese vendors. It’s not surprising then, that in our shop, you will find over 80 types of local, national and European cheeses.

At our Café, you can enjoy our delicious coffee, from beans grown in cooperatives in Chiapas or Veracruz. Our fresh juices are prepared to order and accompanied by a selection of sandwiches, quiches, salads and delicious homemade pastries. Everything is ready to take out and enjoy at home or in the office.

Luna de Queso is San Miguel’s only gourmet deli. You will find all kinds of artesanal and imported cheeses, sauces, dressings, oils, hard to find gourmet spices and packaged goods, in addition to high quality deli meats. Luna de Queso is a foodie’s heaven. They also sell prepared sandwiches either to go or to eat at one of 4 tables on their covered front porch.   They can also make cheese and/or meat platters for gatherings at home. Luna de Queso is a short walk (less than 10 minutes) from Casa GGG.

Open Monday through Friday 9 am. – 7 pm., Saturday 10 am. – 5 pm., closed Sundays.

Marianna’s the girl in the moon and runs a great deli type eatery and grocery store. They carry a vast array of, what else? cheeses, plus! Mariana, long-time amiga and a one time art student at Instituto Allende, some time ago, now show cases her artistic side as a restauranteur and cheese shop owner
