Wolf Gym was the first gym to open in San Miguel de Allende in 1977. Locally owned and operated, it is a friendly and welcoming place to work out.

People is super friendly so as the staff! George from reception and Ramiro the manager are the most amazing helpful, super friendly guys who can make you feel at home! I had an issue with my days and I let let know about it, very understanding and they guide me all the way through. I have recommended to family and friends and you won’t regret about training here specially if you are new in San Miguel! Definitely enrolled to Wolf’s gym!
I’ve been working out in gyms since I was 17, all over the world, and I am delighted to report that Wolf Gym is the most welcoming, friendly and inclusive fitness center I’ve ever experienced. The owners, the employees, the trainers, and the members all create a great vibe that feels supportive and motivating! It’s the “Cheers” of gyms, and it really helps when one looks forward to working out at a place “where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came”.
It goes without saying then that it’s the best gym in San Miguel, all the better since their recent expansion and renovation. The prices are a great value as well. FYI, as of February 2022, it’s 600 pesos a month with one month free if you join for six (money well-spent), and 500 for two weeks/400 a week/200 per day if you are visiting short-term.
Come with respect, a towel, and openness, leave healthy with a feeling of connection to SMA and it’s wonderful residents.

The recent expansion includes the addition of a cardio area with treadmills, ellipticals, and rowing machines. More stretching space…
The second story has a spinning studio. The third story has a boxing studio. The classes in the studios are separate from the gym membership.
There is a multi-use studio space which currently is offering Latin dance classes, Pilates classes and a stretching, class. Those are all group classes that are separate from the gym.
There are 8 qualified trainers who work with their own clients at the gym. (I have been working out with Luis for almost 2 years and he is wonderful!)
The new gym rate is $600 pesos per month. There is no registration fee.
Wolf Gym is very involved in the community and organizes yearly charity events (races) to raise money for deserving non-profits.

If you are looking for a well-equipped, friendly gym that is close to Centro, consider Wolf Gym at Portero 8 in San Antonio. They also have excellent, certified personal trainers. My sisters, several friends and I train, three times a week, with Karla Ramirez (cupska@gmail.com), a niece of Wolf’s founder. Karla speaks English, is super professional and attentive, and she is fun.
I train at Wolf Gyn 3 times a week with Luis who is also excellent and takes good care of me without it being boring!
Wolf Gym is a wonderful gym and the trainers are excellent. Luis has been my trainer for over a year, he speaks English, and he is very patient and encouraging. Be good to yourself and check out Wolf Gym.
