Dr Francisco Melendez received his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Juárez. His specialty degree in general surgery is from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. He also did a subspecialty in cardiothoracic surgery in Mexico City at the Hospital 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE, affliliated with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Dr Melendez is certified by the Mexican Board of General Surgery and by the National Board of Thoracic Surgery. He lives and has his private practice here in San Miguel de Allende.
