Pet-friendly places for a magical visit with your dog

Many people consider pets as part of the family, so they seek to take them with them to various places, especially puppies, there is even the option of taking them on a trip, this is an extraordinary experience. In case you are contemplating a trip with a puppy, we share some pet-friendly places that both will enjoy to the maximum in destinations such as Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, Jalisco, Queretaro, Guanajuato, and Aguascalientes, which are part of the Central-West Pact for Tourism.

1  In Jalisco, it is possible to spend a very relaxed and above all delicious time with your pet at the Coffee & Pets Deli which, unlike other cafes, is a place for dogs where humans are allowed. It is also possible to celebrate the four-legged friend’s birthday since the place has cakes for dogs and the staff helps to sing the mañanitas.

2  Queretaro has several pet-friendly hotels that offer a Day Pass to enjoy a full day in their facilities with your dog. Some of the hotels that offer this option are: Kuku Ruku, Hotel Hacienda San Antonio, Hotel Casa Aurora, Casa del Atrio and Cabañas Rancho San Jorge. Staying in cabins will always be a sustainable option that promotes interaction with nature, in addition to living the experience of preparing food in an ecological wood stove and spending unique moments in front of a traditional campfire in the company of your pet.

3  To spend a few days of rest and vacation, Aguascalientes has the best options to stay and enjoy with your pet, places that are able to take care of them in the best way. At the Holiday Inn & Suites, they have a spacious room for your four-legged friend to roam free in the room, there is also free wifi and you can use the amenities of the establishment. To visit the Magic Town of Calvillo, the suggestion is to visit the Hotel La Gloria de Calvillo, which is a place designed for the rest of people and dogs, they have over 35 years of experience so they will receive the best care.

4  Hotel Mädi is a recently opened establishment in the heart of the heritage city of San Miguel de Allende, in Guanajuato, which is characterized by welcoming in its facilities all members of the family, including the 4-legged ones. It is a small boutique hotel with 23 sophisticated rooms offering breathtaking views of the World Heritage City. All the facilities are suitable for both people and their furry friends to enjoy the first-class attention offered by the place.

5  If the idea is to go with your pet to Zacatecas, there are several places where they are received with the best attention to enjoy everything the destination has to offer.

The suggestion is to visit The Milk Brewpub restaurant in Plazuela Miguel Auza, which has a pet-friendly cafeteria. Enjoying a pleasant climate while having breakfast with your dog is a great experience, you just have to remember to keep it on a leash. Another option is to go to the Historic Center as it is ideal for a quiet walk together, but if what you want is to learn more about mining, visiting La Mina El Eden is the option. The tour can continue at the iconic Cerro de La Bufa, from where you can admire the entire urban landscape of Zacatecas.

6  Another option is the capital of San Luis Potosi to stay at the Hilton Hotel, which has extensive facilities with gardens, where you can take walks, restaurants, and common areas that can be enjoyed in the company of your dog.

If what you are looking for is to connect with nature, in the Huasteca Potosina you will find one of the most surreal and peculiar hotels in Mexico, Casa Caracol, which will offer people and their pets everything but being a common lodging place, at first, the rooms look like small houses of elves and some others are tipis, but if you prefer something more traditional they also have cabins, rooms, and a subway room. Here your dog will have plenty of outdoor space to run around and relax.
