Guanajuato signs an agreement with the Government of Yucatan to promote the new Merida-Leon route, through the airline Volaris. This agreement will provide a new airline option to connect these two important tourist destinations.
The Governor of the State, Diego Sinhué Rodríguez Vallejo assured that despite not having a beach, Guanajuato is the ideal place to visit thanks to its privileged geographic location, as well as the renowned cities it is home to.
“Tourism represents 10% of our state GDP, which is very important because it has been growing. With two world heritage cities such as Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende, and six magical towns, five archaeological zones, with the denomination of origin of tequila, mezcal, and more than 35 vineyards, Guanajuato becomes a great option,” he explained.
Finally, he invited the Governor of Yucatan, Mauricio Vila Dosal, to take the new flight to Bajio for a very pleasant experience with his family.
