San Miguel de Allende Gastronomic Ambassador of Guanajuato

San Miguel de Allende has once again established itself as the gastronomic ambassador of Guanajuato at a national and international level, thanks to the tourism strategy promoted by Mayor Mauricio Trejo in collaboration with the private sector.

In a ceremony held at the Alhóndiga de Granaditas in Guanajuato, organized by México Desconocido in coordination with the State Government and the Ministry of Tourism, San Miguel de Allende was awarded in the second edition of the “Best of Guanajuato” Awards.

Among the awards obtained, the recognition for “Best Gastronomic Festival of Guanajuato” for the “San Miguel y sus Sabores” festival, which celebrates the diversity and richness of local cuisine, stood out.

Tania Castillo, director of Tourism, highlighted the warmth and quality of the city’s tourist services, which have allowed San Miguel de Allende to remain at the forefront in different categories.

“We are ready to welcome you all, always with the best disposition and quality, and above all with the emblematic features of the city,” said Castillo.

In addition to the recognition in gastronomy, San Miguel de Allende shined in several categories of the awards, including:

– Best Experience in an Archaeological Zone: Cañada de la Virgen

– Best Traditional Hotel for a Family Trip: Hotel Real de Minas

– Best Wellness Experience: Escondido Place

– Best Venue for Celebrating a Wedding: Agua Bendita

– Wedding Planner with the Best Innovation: Penzi Weddings & Events

– Sustainable Tourism Award: Hacienda Cañada de la Virgen

– Accessible Tourism Award: Coyote Canyon Adventures
