It took 14 months for the Jardin of San Miguel de Allende to re-open for the people of San Miguel de Allende and visitors after the closure of the public square as a preventive measure against the spread of Covid-19 to avoid crowds of people; however, this June 16 the garden returned to normal, and without the metal mesh it looked in its splendor full of visitors as well as locals.
The boleros are returning to their chairs, the Sanmiguelenses were able to read and chat sitting on the benches under the trees.
Visitors took the opportunity to enjoy an ice cream, water, or the delicious fried food and tostadas that only the people of San Miguel know how to prepare, in addition to taking the traditional postcard with the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel in the background or with the Guanajuato logo.
This marks the return of activities to normal in San Miguel de Allende after the activation of the yellow traffic light in the state, which allows the opening of public areas such as the main garden of the city.
As a preventive measure against the virus, the sanitary filters at the entrances to the historic center are remaining, as well as the wearing of masks by the everyone.
