With less than two weeks to go before Election Day, PAN candidate Luis Alberto Villarreal maintains a lead of more than 13 points over PRI candidate Mauricio Trejo Pureco, which means he is likely to be reelected as municipal president, according to the most recent opinion poll conducted by TAG Resaerch.

Not even adding the 12.59 percent of undecided voters would be enough for Trejo Pureco to surpass the PAN candidate, who would be the third time he governs in this municipality of 174,615 inhabitants, key in the attraction of tourism in the state.

The Morena candidate, Ricardo Ferro Baeza, would be in third position, according to the trends up to this moment.

The perception that Luis Alberto Villarreal will win the election for municipal president is double that of Mauricio Trejo. The PAN candidate has more perception of winning than intention to vote.

Preferences for Luis Alberto Villarreal remained stable during the campaign, while Trejo Pureco consolidated a clear second place and left the Morenista candidate behind.

Preferences in the rural and urban areas are very segmented, since in the rural area the PRI is more competitive and in the main city Morena increases its preferences.

Billboards, billboards and tarpaulins have been the most efficient means of communication to advertise the candidates for mayor of San Miguel de Allende.
