This week, the streetcar concessionaires and the municipal government met to discuss the mobility, road, and traffic problems in San Miguel de Allende and to work together to find a solution.
After on New Year’s weekend, Jorge Salas Luna, in charge of Transit in the municipality, sent a letter to the concessionaires asking them to stop working to “give priority to pedestrians”, the streetcar operators met with Mayor Mauricio Trejo and his collaborators to discuss a new mobility project in San Miguel de Allende.
Through a press release, the local government indicated that the concessionaires listened to the proposals and managed to obtain a dialogue to focus efforts towards a new project.
For this reason, starting this Monday they will take a training course for streetcar drivers and guides on the general culture and history of San Miguel de Allende given by the Directorate of Culture headed by Acasio Martinez.
