Mayors will work to promote tourism

The mayors of San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo will work together to boost regional tourism and recover the post-pandemic economy.

Mayor Mauricio Trejo commented that San Miguel de Allende is not a destination for wholesale agencies and we will not work with them, it has an important room capacity without a doubt we are about to close the last census to know exactly how many rooms we have, but we do not have the hotel capacity like Cancun or Puerto Vallarta to work with wholesale agencies.

He assured that leaving Guanajuato’s tourism stand does not represent a division, it represents a complement, today there are tourist destinations that have to be promoted with great strength, San Miguel de Allende the only thing it has to do is to show all the valuable things we have, and having a reduced space in state space is not enough.

Today San Miguel de Allende needs its own space so that we can show all the richness we have in terms of tourism, but he assured us that there is no division because he is married to the governor’s project, this is a necessity.

He assured that the meeting with the mayor of San Miguel is to be the facilitator for the governor’s plans and to take the lead, “if the municipal governments take the lead in public works to the state governments, things work much better”, he said.

The Mayor of San Miguel commented, “the State Government has a lot of work to do in the release of land, in obtaining resources, in getting these types of investments approved in Congress, so that I still have to go to the municipalities and tell them how can I do it”.

La reunión con Adrián Hernández Alejandri es para ponernos las pilas y cuando arranque todo, por parte del municipio esté casi al 100 por ciento todo resuelto.

Finalizó diciendo que vienen grandes proyectos anunciados ya por nuestro gobernador, como es la autopista Silao San Miguel de Allende, que sin duda alguna beneficia a Dolores Hidalgo y también tenemos el bulevar San Miguel Dolores.

Por otro lado el mandatario Dolorense Adrián Hernández Alejandri comentó que está agradecido y comprometido en estos temas de colaboración, en temas de trabajos turísticos, “se habló hace unos días en regionalizar el tema de colaboración y de turismo en la zona”.

Adrián Hernández comentó que es de mucha importancia Dolores Hidalgo y San Luis de la Paz para potencializar los temas turísticos en la región, esto va a sumar a los trabajos turísticos del estado y fortalecer esta región del norte del estado.

“Esta zona ofrece un gran potencial turístico hoy con este gran proyecto del ecobulevar sin duda nos permitirá generar está potencialización y está regionalización de la cual hoy podemos hablar”, dijo alcalde de Dolores Hidalgo.

El alcalde dolorense aseguró que regresarán esos tiempos de colaboración entre Dolores y San Miguel de Allende en materia turística y traerá grandes beneficios a la población y a los prestadores de servicio de ambos municipios.

“Tenemos que trabajar bien fuerte con nuestros prestadores de servicios que sin duda esto permitirá fortalecer estos temas históricos en el municipio, fortalecer el tema de estancias en ambos municipios, el poder ofertar diferentes tipos de actividades en la zona pues permite sin duda el que las estancias puedan ser más largas en ambos municipios”, finalizó Adrián Hernández.
