To reinforce security, aerial patrols are maintained in San Miguel de Allende

The Secretary of Public Safety, Municipal Transit, and Civil Protection informed that they will continue the aerial patrol in this municipality.

This action is carried out in conjunction with the Public Safety Secretariat of the State of Guanajuato in order to safeguard the safety of citizens.

The aerial patrol is carried out by a helicopter belonging to the Guanajuato State Public Safety Secretariat (SSPE). This agency, through the General Commissariat of the State Public Security Forces, works in coordination with the corporations in question.

The aerial patrols began last Wednesday, March 2, with a foot-ground deployment. The above through the operation ‘San Miguel de Allende Seguro’ (Safe San Miguel de Allende).

It was noted that the helicopter that has carried out this aerial patrol is equipped with the necessary navigation technology and video surveillance tools to move through the territory of this municipality.

They also announced that this operation has a positive impact on the planning and deployment of police operations.

This is to optimize all aerial surveillance capacity in order to contribute to strengthening the conditions of peace and tranquility for the people of San Miguel.

Therefore, the municipal and state authorities announced that the helicopter sightings that have occurred regularly in recent days will continue during daytime patrol activities.
