The feast of St. Anthony of Padua at the corner door; the costumes, the pilgrimages, the purchase of sweets, the decorations and much more all ready to fill the streets of San Miguel de Allende with madness on June 18.
The organizers and the municipal government expect this 2023 the participation of more than 5 thousand crazy people in the treat as well as surpassing last year’s figure in terms of attendance, remember that in 2022 the year of post-pandemic recovery yielded a figure of more than 160 thousand spectators throughout the route.
Prior to the great event, there will be a fortnightly that will give a taste of what will be the Parade of Fools 2023 where groups of crazy people, communities and colonies belonging to the parish of San Antonio de Padua will participate as well as liturgical groups that organize the tours and then participate in the outdoor masses in the atrium of the temple until the big day.
Where Clowns, harlequins, characters from the cinema, films and animated series, as well as pre-Hispanic dancers, wrestlers, stuffed animals, pensioners of Mexican politics and musicians filled the downtown streets of San Miguel with life.
