The traditional Feria de la Candelaria in San Miguel de Allende will change its venue because, due to the construction of a hotel, the space that was used to protect the trucks of plant producers and as parking for visitors is no longer available.

This fair was commonly held in Benito Juárez Park, located a few blocks from the historic center of the city, but with the construction of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, in what was the parking lot of El Cardo, the event had to change venue for logistical reasons.

The 49th edition of the Feria de la Candelaria will take place from January 31 to February 16 in the Zeferino Gutiérrez park, where more than 100 exhibitors of plants, pots, fertilizers and substrates will participate.

Although most of the participants are local, there will also be the participation of nurserymen from Puebla, Morelos, the State of Mexico, Michoacan and some municipalities of the state of Guanajuato.

“It is going to be a fair in a beautiful park, in a park that is going to bring its chaenedita, everything is going to be pulling and there is a place to park,” said the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo.

In addition to the exhibition and sale of plants, there will be a cultural program in which presentations of various styles are contemplated, from alternative rock to classical music, as well as dance events, workshops and sports activities.

In the park, there will also be a food area, so that the people of San Miguel can meet in the enclosure, buy their plants and enjoy the various activities with their families.
