San Miguel Extends Hours and Capacities

Due to the low number of Covid cases, San Miguel de Allende will extend schedules and capacity in San Miguel de Allende

With zero active cases of Covid 19 and only 6 under investigation, the municipal government established new measures to extend opening hours and capacity in productive sectors. The main garden and the viewpoints were reopened for the first time.

Among the new provisions is the opening of public areas such as the Civic Plaza and the viewpoints located at the Salida Real a Querétaro and the Libramiento José Manuel Zavala; as well as the common areas of the subdivisions and condominium developments, which may operate on the days and hours established in their bylaws.

Hotels may operate according to their certified capacity as long as they maintain at all times the sanitary protocols for the prevention of Covid-19; this same condition applies to restaurants and restaurant bars, which must respect the measures of healthy distance between tables, besides having to be vacated and closed by 01:00 am.

Weddings, social events and conventions, according to the capacity certified by the Civil Protection Department of the venues, may have a capacity of up to 200 people in closed spaces and 300 in open spaces, between attendees and staff; the establishments where these activities are held must be vacated and closed by 2:00 am.

The “callejoneadas” are authorized in the municipality with a maximum participation of 150 people, with the routes and restrictions established by the Secretary of Government and City Hall and the Civil Protection Department, at all times attendees must wear masks.

Public and private sports venues including the Luis H. Ducoing Sports Complex will be open from 07:00 am to 08:00 pm, while Juarez Park and Zeferino Gutierrez Park will be open from 07:00 am to 21:00 pm.

Finally, the permitted capacity for worship centers will be 100% of its capacity, as long as the healthy distance between people is respected and the suspension of activities in bars, canteens, casinos and nightclubs is reiterated.
