San Miguel de Allende Red Cross starts its “Virtual” Collection, in which they hope to raise 1 million pesos in two months.
As in 2020, the collection will be done electronically, social networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram will be used to collect donations.
There will also be the presence of piggy banks (there are 200 destined) at various strategic points, in places that register an influx of people, such as shopping malls, businesses that have a lot of foot traffic, bus stations, in some institutional offices, in companies with large numbers of employees.
Starting tomorrow they will announce the distribution of these piggy banks, there will not be a person collecting, there will only be these.There will also be a collection “among neighbors”, they will contact associations and clubs so that their members can also donate something, they will be assigned an account number where they can also donate.
There will also be a silver carpet, which consists of a day in which they will be in a public place in the city, which will be identified with a cross on the floor, and there will also be a botarga that will be talking about Covid and how to take care of this virus, they will be with all the security measures, there will be gels and masks that will be distributed (free), coins will be collected there as well.
There will also be a conference that is yet to be confirmed.
The closing of the collection will take place on October 24, with the traditional gala brunch at the Rosewood Ballroom.
All the details were shared this morning at the Santa Ana Theater, where representatives of the San Miguel de Allende Red Cross were present, as well as Mayor Gonzalo Gonzalez.
