SMA reaffirms friendship ties with Belgium

The exhibition “Belgium in San Miguel de Allende” was inaugurated, which includes beautiful works of art by local artist Catherine Caba and a photographic exhibition presented by the Embassy of Belgium entitled “La Vuelta de Bélgica”.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Casa Europa México, where the Ambassador of Belgium, Mr. Johan Verkammen and his distinguished wife, Mrs. Kathleen Billen, were present along with the Mayor of San Miguel de Allende Mauricio Trejo Pureco, Mr. Francisco Javier Valverde Polin representing Mr. Juan José Álvarez Brunel and Mr. Arturo López Rodríguez representing Ms. María Adriana Camarena, Director of the Institute of Culture of the State of Guanajuato.

In this exhibition, the municipal president Mauricio Trejo Pureco reaffirmed diplomatic ties with the ambassador of that country.

The exhibition “Belgium in San Miguel de Allende” and the photographic exhibition presented by the Embassy of Belgium entitled “La Vuelta de Bélgica”, will be open until April 9 and there is no cost to enjoy it.

Also present were some members of the European community residing in San Miguel, along with many other San Miguel residents.
