Querétaro will host the “Spring Open 2023” Pickleball Championship

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be held the “Spring Open 2023” of Pickleball, which will be attended by 100 players from all over the country, who will seek to take first place, noting that it has prepared a bag to distribute 50 thousand pesos in prizes, so they expect a great atmosphere and good level this weekend in our entity.

Those in charge of the presentation of this event were Claudia Ramos of the Organizing Committee, Diego Quirós from the Pickleball Sports Club, and Guillermo Araújo from the Organizing Committee, who reiterated that this is the fourth tournament to be organized, so the participation of players from all over the country is expected, as a preparation for the November tournament, which is expected to be of professional level with the participation of players from the United States.

“The tournament will be held this Friday, March 31st, Saturday, April 1st, and Sunday, April 2nd, people are coming from all over the country, and there is an accumulated purse of 50,000 pesos for all categories, this attracts a lot of attention so more than 100 players are participating, we already have them registered, we expect more than 200 people in total, players are coming from Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Leon, Zacatecas, Mexico City, Chapala, San Miguel de Allende among others”.

The activities are scheduled to begin on Friday at the Hotel Mision Juriquilla with a clinic for beginners and intermediate players, followed by men’s and women’s singles for beginners, intermediate, and Open or advanced players. On Saturday the doubles will be played and on Sunday the mixed modality will be played.

The tournament will be held in round robin format in singles, doubles, and mixed, to define the players who will play the semifinal, final, and the game for third place, also the entrance to the public is free, so they invited them to attend and know this sport that is growing a lot in the country.
