As in 2022, property taxes in San Miguel de Allende will not rise
Published December 7, 2022
This was announced by the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo, after the H. Congress of the State of Guanajuato approved the proposed 2023 Revenue Law for the Municipality of San Miguel de Allende.
“Just like last year, we did not present any increase to the property. In the Revenue Law of 2022, this year that is about to end, there was no increase to the Property and in the Revenue Law that the State Congress has just approved today, it does not contemplate an increase to the property in the course of 2023. With this we are complying with you in not raising the property tax anymore “said Treo Pureco from his official social networks.
The mayor said that, just as he proposed before taking office and fulfilled it in his first year of government, in San Miguel de Allende the payment for property tax will not rise.
Mauricio Trejo explained that not only was an increase ruled out, but this represents that the sanmiguelense will pay less than any other Guanajuato where adjustments were made to this annual taxation.
“For the second year in a row, the property price has not been raised, which otherwise you would be paying 11% more before I was mayor. With this it really is 11% less than you are going to pay the year that comes into property and I hope that this effort that logically belongs to everyone, serves your pocket and that we can have a fairer San Miguel de Allende for all San Miguel de Allende families. There is no increase in property in 2023, just as there was no increase in property in 2022, “said the president of San Miguel.
