The San Miguel City Council approved the loan of municipal land for the construction of the “Mitigare Palliative Care” hospital. This is the first hospice center in all of Mexico.
“We are going to set a precedent because it is the first “hospice” type center (palliative care center) in Mexico. The association does not charge, it receives donations like any civil association in Mexico. Let us not forget that this land was recovered by the municipality and now it will be used for the benefit of the people of San Miguel de Allende.” declared trustee Faviola Correa.
This facility will be built on municipal land given on loan, to benefit the San Miguel community, without favoring particular interests, since it will address the health needs of the most vulnerable San Miguel residents and their families, directly impacting 1,500 patients and indirectly on 5,000 more, mainly their relatives. Ensuring the quality of life of citizens, the Municipal Administration continues to strengthen its actions with the work of civil associations, so that hospital services and the quality of life of the population in San Miguel de Allende are better every day.
