PARADISE, a franchise that sells legal marijuana products, is preparing for its opening in San Miguel de Allende.
The company, of which former President Vicente Fox is a partner and investor since 2019, expects to open at least 120 branches in different cities of the country and the first ones it wants to take to the main tourist destinations in Mexico, according to a note shared by ElInformador.mx.
“The Paradise company promotes cannabis products on billboards, with the image of former President Vicente Fox, who is an investor and partner,” El Informador.mx reports.
The article highlights that 25 stores are already operating in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Sayulita, Tulum and Playa del Carmen, and that the one in San Miguel de Allende is already being set up, as well as the one to be installed in Mexico City.
The article in El Informador reads: “Fernando Cárcamo acknowledged that the subject of the commercialization of the plant’s derivatives is controversial and lends itself to ridicule and criticism, which he considered unfounded, for which reason, he added, one of the company’s main objectives is to inform about the benefits of cannabis in areas as dissimilar as medicine and the textile industry”.
He said that Vicente Fox, one of the partners, has been a part of this project for more than a year, as a great promoter of cannabis.
As we know, Vicente Fox is a frequent visitor to San Miguel de Allende to which the government of Ricardo Villarreal gave him 2 hectares of land of the Bicentennial Park (inaugurated by former mayor Luz Mría Nuñez on the occasion of the Bicentennial of Independence), said land was occupied by his wife Marta Sahagún to build a rehabilitation center called CRISMA, where they serve children with special abilities.
