Lavender fields in Mineral de Pozos

In the state of Guanajuato, there are landscapes that make you feel like you are in some corner of Europe, such is the case of the lavender fields found in the magical town of Mineral de Pozos.

These extensions of plants belong to the ‘Lavender Ranch’, where various lavender-based products are made for commercialization.

The ideal season to visit this place is from June to August, not only because of the good weather but also because this is when the lavender flowers show their brightest colors and give off the most intense aromas.

At one time the flower was known as “The Water of Hungary” due to the aromatic fascination of Queen Elizabeth around the 12th century, the essence of the flower was thought to be an antidote to aging. However, this flower is used by many people for its relaxation ability.

You can also take advantage of your stay to take a photo session surrounded by purple flowers with the blue sky in the background, thus having an incredible landscape. The fields are located 45 minutes from the town of San Miguel de Allende, and the place also offers lodging services, to have the opportunity to enjoy a sunrise or sunset with the scent of flowers. As a bonus, pets are not allowed on the ranch for the safety of the plants, so take this into account if you were thinking of taking your lomito for a walk.
