In 2021 the Candelaria Fair has been suspended due to the fact that so far the economic reactivation traffic light is in red. Nurserymen have already been notified of this decision.
In January and February 2021, the 65th Candelaria Fair was scheduled to be held, a tradition that began in 1956, however, due to the economic reactivation traffic light, for the moment the cultural events and of any kind are suspended until the change to orange traffic light, this was confirmed by the area of Social Communication of San Miguel de Allende.
Every year around 150 exhibitors participate in this tradition initiated in 1956 by Mr. Bruno Galicia, originally from Xochimilco, who came to sell his flowers and found love in a San Miguel de Allende woman with whom, since 1969, he organized what today is the Candelaria Fair.
