In view of the change in the reactivation traffic light, massive events are suspended during national holidays

In view of the increase of Covid-19 infections in the country and the return of the State Semaphore for Reactivation to ‘Yellow with Alert’ in Guanajuato, municipal and health sector authorities held a meeting to establish new measures for productive activities in the municipality.

Hotels will be allowed to operate at 75% of their capacity and must maintain, at all times, sanitary protocols to prevent contagion. In restaurants and restaurant bars the permitted capacity will be 60% as long as they maintain the measures of healthy distance between each table; they will have to be vacated and closed by 12:00 am (midnight).

As for weddings, social events, and conventions, they may have a capacity of up to 120 people in closed spaces and 200 in open spaces, between attendees and staff; the establishments where these activities take place will have to be vacated and closed at 01:00 am.

The patriotic and patron saint festivities will be held only with the organizers and participants without the public call to avoid crowds; however, they will be transmitted virtually through digital media.

It should be noted that the QR Code request to visitors is still in force so that they can justify their arrival to the city and a reserved place; likewise, they must comply with the use of masks in public spaces, a mandatory measure in the municipality.

For their part, the authorities of the Ministry of Health urge the population to follow this measure along with the constant washing of hands, use of antibacterial gel, and keep a healthy distance; likewise, they call not to trust even if they have already been vaccinated, since the percentage of people immunized is still low and does not guarantee, so far, collective protection.

Finally, we will continue to supervise the capacity of the different establishments in order to avoid crowds that could endanger the health of the people of San Miguel.
