The Vamos Mexico Foundation organized the Tenth CRISMA Golf Tournament “A swing a dream” in order to raise funds to support the treatment of 500 children with disabilities who are treated at the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center of San Miguel de Allende.
Marta Sahagún de Fox, President of Fundación Vamos México explained that this resource would be used to modernize the sensory equipment at CRISMA “which we do have, but we need to advance in technology so that our children have the best of the best; transparency is a conviction; we have the transparency award given by CEMEFI, the Mexican Philanthropy Center”.
More than one million pesos were raised for this social work; 130 national and international golfers participated in the Ventanas de San Miguel de Allende golf course.
“Today we have between 250 and 320 patients who come to receive therapy, the goal is to reach 500 this year,” said Sahagún de Fox.
Vicente Fox Quesada, former President of Mexico said that the purpose of this tournament and CRISMA is to make families and lives happy with greater opportunities for progress and advancement.
“I hope your headline says “There is room for more” it is difficult to identify the patients because on many occasions people hide them” said Vicente Fox.
In this edition, the guest of honor was golfer Paola Pavón, who said she was thrilled to join this social work.
Paola Pavón, a golfer commented, “I am very grateful to golf because golf has helped me to share and help. I have already visited the CRISMA facilities and they are incredible and today it is an honor for me to be able to help”.
Next year’s golf tournament will be held on May 12 and there will be one more abroad.
