Guanajuato International Film Festival 2021 is coming soon

From September 17 to 26, 2021, Guanajuato will dress up and present at the International Film Festival. Learn the details!

Attention lovers of the Seventh Art, because the twenty-fourth edition of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) 2021 is approaching. It will be held from September 17 to 26 and will be held in the cities of Irapuato, San Miguel de Allende, and León, here are all the details!

With the guarantee of respecting all sanitary protocols such as reduced occupancy in theaters, use of masks and antibacterial gel, as well as free online screenings, this great festival will be presented; which brings together great talents from around the world.

After launching the call for entries for the Festival, 3,274 films were received from 132 different countries, which resulted in a wide range of materials.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that this year the city of León will be the new venue for the event and will have several locations, including the Bicentennial Theater and the Plaza de Gallos. Here are the exact dates and venues, don’t miss it!

Dates and venues
San Miguel de Allende: September 21-23 at the Jardín Principal, at the Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez “El Nigromante” and at Cinemex Plaza Luciérnaga. This city will also host the first University Rally in which different Mexican university teams will record a short film.

León: September 18 to 20; the venues will be the Forum Cultural Guanajuato, Teatro Bicentenario, Plaza de Gallos and Cinemex Plaza Mayor.

Irapuato: From September 24 to 26 at the Teatro de la Ciudad. In addition, there will be an outdoor Cinema Picnic and some screenings at Cinemex Plaza Jacarandas.
