San Miguel de Allende was chosen as the“Best Cityin the World”, for the third time, at the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2021 as the number one destination.
San Miguel de Allende: Why was it chosen as the “Best City in the World” to visit?
The World Heritage City of the state of Guanajuato,which also tops the list of the“Best City in Mexico”category in the annual survey, was positioned at the top of Travel + Leisure’s“Best Cities in theWorld”list.
In addition, two hotels of the destination were positioned in the list of“Best Hotelsin Mexico”: Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel and Rosewood San Miguel de Allende.
It should be noted that year after year, the travel + Leisure publication recognizes the best hotels, islands, cities, shipping companies, airlines, spas and other tourist providers around the world.
This according to the results of the annual survey it conducts to its readers,who rated the cities according to the following characteristics: tourist attractions, culture, food, friendliness, shopping and worth.
Faced with the election of San Miguel de Allende as the “Best City in the World” to visit,the governor of the state of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, recognized the hospitality of its inhabitants.
In addition, he congratulated the people who are dedicated to providing their services to the tourism of this city and thanked the readers of Travel + Leisure.
