Feria de la Candelaria: Culture and ecology in one place

You cannot miss the 69th “Feria de la Candelaria”, which will be held in the Zeferino Gutiérrez park, where there will be a variety of events for the whole family, in addition to being able to buy plants and trees of different species for your home.

The 69th edition of the “Feria de la Candelaria” will have the participation of local and foreign nurseries, where an artistic and cultural program is also integrated for the enjoyment of families.

From 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., San Miguel residents and visitors will enjoy the exhibition and sale of seeds, flowers, plants, fruit trees, accessories for home decoration and gardening; in addition, they will delight the palate in the food area and musical and scenic presentations and environmental education workshops.

The program begins on Friday, January 31 with the inauguration of the fair at 6:00 p.m., to give way to a concert by the Bohemian Group.

On Saturday, February 1, starting at 10:00 a.m., there will be a yoga class, so if you want to attend you can bring your own mat. At 1:00 p.m., the educational concert for the whole family with the Mulix trio.

On Sunday, February 2, at 9:00 a.m., don’t miss the blessing of seeds; then, at 10:00 a.m., there will be a field medicine workshop. At 2:00 p.m., recognizing animals and plants endemic to San Miguel, a workshop for children, and closes with a concert by Son Jarocho with Chuchumbé.

On Monday, February 3, at 10:00 a.m., there will be a cacao ceremony and collective meditation, the only thing you have to bring is a mat. At 12:00 p.m., play the San Miguel lottery, and at 2:00 p.m., don’t miss the photography workshop “Discover nature through the image”, bring your camera or cell phone.

For Friday, February 7, there will be a mural intervention by Ocelotl throughout the day. Then, at 4:00 p.m., don’t miss the rap workshop with Bocafloja, and at 6:00 p.m., a hip hop concert.

On Saturday, February 8, there will be a Mat Pilates class. At 1:00 p.m., take the substrate workshop “How to nourish and water my plants.” At 3:00 p.m., “Dancing Flowers,” a children’s ballet presentation. At 4:00 p.m., “Mixology with Flowers,” where you can prepare your own cocktail. At 6:00 p.m., a bolero, ballad, and son concert, with Y … Nacho?.

On Sunday, February 9, at 10:00 a.m., Workshop “Garden at home”. At 1:00 p.m., take the little ones of the home so that they do not miss the puppet show “Cleo, la Brujita”. Then, at 3:00 p.m., do not miss the presentation of the Mazatl Children’s Folkloric Ballet, and at 6:00 p.m., a concert of soul, funk and pop rock with The Lixious Music Band.
