Fashion Days celebrates its fifth anniversary and promotes fashion with a cause

Fashion Days continues to support Mexican design with social responsibility, promoting fashion tourism.

Fashion Days celebrates its fifth anniversary by presenting its eighth edition of catwalks to be held on November 3, 4 and 5 in San Miguel de Allende and in the Cradle of National Independence, Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato.

“It is a face-to-face platform and now we are also updating digitally, being multichannel because with everything that is happening we became digital, but it is a platform because it is trying to upload all the emerging talent next to already established designers, international guests to support them to develop their careers and their brands,” said Blanca Salinas, director and founder of Fashion Days San Miguel de Allende.

This Latin American Platform of Fashion with a Cause seeks to creatively transmit the platforms of the communities, with the intention of offering a space for the expression of identity through Mexican clothing.

At the same time, it supports vulnerable groups such as children with neurological and motor disabilities. “The Mexican industry has had a hard time getting to where we are today and we are in a great moment because the value of our craftswomen is being recognized, we have great communities that are already those craftswomen, seamstresses, designers of always; many of our Mexican designers and Mexican brands join with these communities to create great proposals and that is what we have to exploit a lot with the talent we have of yesteryear,” said Salinas.

The announcement was made during a media presentation at a hotel in the Historic Center of Mexico City, with the presence of some of the participating designers in the presidium.
