Tribute
GIFF will pay a heartfelt tribute to the life and work of Ernesto Herrera, co-founder of the festival and a notable mind in the field of creative industries. The tribute will consist of an exhibition of 40 photographs that reveal Ernesto Herrera’s professional career and the creative boom he achieved with Expresión en Corto, later GIFF.
Who was Ernesto Herrera?
“Ernesto Herrera was born in León, Guanajuato, on December 20, 1964, never to leave this world again. On February 12, 2021, at the age of 56, he was summoned for a new call. Some say it was the virus that took him, others say he will be gone for a while as if convinced that the end is unequivocally proper of what ends”, is mentioned in the information of the portal.
