Cantinflas’ house for sale in SMA, including all the furniture.

The estate was constructed in the 60’s on Salida Real a Queretaro and currently is  known as “Hotel La Hermita.”  It has been for sale since 2019  It is being sold for the amount of 81 million pesos and includes all the furniture, decorations and other objects that at the time were very appreciated by the comedian.

It was one of Cantinflas’ favorite places, where he spent a lot of time with his mother, Soledad Reyes, and had family gatherings or with his friends such as: María Félix, Agustín Lara, Dolores del Río and more.

The current owners (who are not related to Cantinflas) are struggling to find a buyer, as they state that the idea is for the next owners to preserve the memory of the place.

After the death of Mario Moreno “Cantinflas” on April 20, 1993, some of his properties were made public, such as buildings, residences and ranches that he acquired in various places in Mexico.

The estate would be sold with each and every one of the objects in the place, such as bedding, photographs and books of the actor; however, it has not been easy to find the ideal buyer, so the Hotel Posada La Ermita, as it is currently known, continues to receive tourists from various parts of the world.

In this place, the Mexican comedian used to spend long periods of time with his mother and received his friends; the house has 24 rooms. Later, “Cantinflas” acquired another house and this place was used exclusively to receive great celebrities such as María Félix, Agustín Lara, Dolores del Río and more.

Then, after the death of his mother, he sold the property with everything in it and began to operate as a hotel and museum in honor of the great Mexican actor.
