    Imagine what this city would be like with stoplights, neon lights, asphalt streets rather than cobblestones, no Biblioteca, no Angela Peralta Theater, and a dormant ex-convent instead of a Cultural Center. The fact that SMA has been preserved, and all these other elements are here are in great part thanks to Carmen Masip, a woman who arrived in 1948, and made this her home for more than 50 years.

    Imaginemos cómo sería esta ciudad sin semáforos, luces de neón, calles de asfalto en lugar de adoquines, sin biblioteca, sin el Teatro Ángela Peralta y con un ex convento inactivo en lugar de un Centro Cultural. El hecho de que SMA se haya conservado y que todos estos otros elementos estén aquí se debe en gran parte a Carmen Masip, una mujer que llegó en 1948 y vivió aquí durante más de 50 años.
