The Pro Musica Opera Gala Fundraiser this year will be during our opera week, on Tuesday, February 8th at 5 pm in a magnificent hacienda in Los Frailes surrounded by enchanting gardens, lakes, fountains, and colonial architecture. The profits of the evening go to help fund our Youth+Music education outreach programs, including not only the Youth Orchestra, but also our Rhythm Rhyme & Reason teaching in San Miguel Viejo for 6—12-year-olds, which is now up and running again, and our soon to be restarted music teaching at Cinco de Mayo school, next to San Juan de Dios church.

You will be welcomed at the hacienda with Prosecco and delicious canapés before a half hour concert on the outside patio by the assembled forces of the rejuvenated Pro Musica Youth Orchestra under its charismatic new Music Director, Canadian Robert Mari. Since Robert took over the orchestra in October it has been going from strength to strength and we will hear a wonderful selection of music, including Mozart’s incomparable Symphony No. 35 in D, the “Haffner”.

This is one of the most wonderful events of the season and numbers are strictly limited, so snap up your tickets at $3,950 pesos each, inclusive of all the above, with no added expenses on the night. For an even more special experience why not indulge yourself with one of our sought after VIP Opera packages, which includes a ticket to the Gala, an orchestra seat for the opera with reserved seat at any of the three performances at the Teatro Angela Peralta on February 10th, 12th or 13th [Thur/Sat/Sun, all at 5 pm], champagne during the interval and an invitation to the celebratory last night party after Sunday’s performance. The whole cast of Pasquale will be present, and it is always a joyful occasion with food, wine, and music. VIP tickets are $4,950 pesos per person and availability is limited.
