PLAYREADERS START WINTER SCHEDULE OF THREE PERFORMANCES
In accordance with their usual winter scheduling, this week’s playreading will be presented at St Pauls Church for three performances on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday December 11, 12 and 13. The play is Handy Dandy by William Gibson.
Henry is a District Court judge, a man devoted to logic and the law. Molly is a feisty, activist nun, a woman who believes in vigils and protests. Handy Dandy is the story of their unlikely and slowly developing friendship. Critics called the play “alternately funny and touching” “a liberating piece of theater, emotionally draining, liberally laced with humor”.
Henry will be read by Fil Formicola, Molly by Phoebe Greyson. Various voices will be provided by Lou Baranti, who will also handle lights and sound. Lola Smith directs.
Performances start at 7:30 PM or earlier if the house is full. A 30 peso donation is requested at the door.
