Charco del Ingenio Foot Race

El Charco del Ingenio-Botanical Garden of San Miguel de Allende invites San Miguel athletes to participate in the 11th edition of the Pedestrian Race in honor of the Holy Cross that is venerated in the Charco del Ingenio. The sporting event will be held on July 10 at 10 am.

It will be held inside the Landeta Park and Botanical Garden “El Charco del Ingenio”, in San Miguel de Allende, Gto., on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 10:00 am.

STARTING AND FINISHING POINT: Landeta Park

ROUTE: The departure will be in the area of the grills of the Landeta Park, taking a turn to the interior of it, then cross to the north side, to continue the tour inside the Botanical Garden El Charco del Ingenio. Thus continuing the route designated by the Organizing Committee to reach the finish line that will be the same starting point.

REGISTRATION: There will be no registrations on the day of the event. Register in advance at the offices of El Charco del Ingenio from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Each participant must show their INE with address in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende, when registering and on the day of the race.

AWARD: The first three places in all categories will be awarded a medal. The last place in each category will be awarded with the traditional bolillo.

CLAUSES:
a) Matters not foreseen in this call will be resolved by the Organizing Committee. The FMA regulations shall apply.
b) The organizers are not responsible for accidents that occurred during the event, as it
is considered a sporting risk.
c) The route may be modified on the day of the event due to climatic causes.

OF THE PROTECTION: It will have the support and protection of Rescate San Miguel.

Much of San Miguel’s splendor can be discovered in its abundance of man made beauty, but at El Charco del Ingenio, nature is the aesthetic draw. Located just a mile northeast of central San Miguel, El Charco del Ingenio can be reached on foot (it’s about a 30-minute walk from the municipal market) or by taxi. The reserve is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
