Gwo Cuban artists cross paths in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. Different perspectives of the same island. One was born to the south, in Batabanó a town with a seaport, the other, to the north in the village of Guanabacoa. Both, with an impeccable academic training, for some time now began their own careers internationally, always having Cuba as their creation workshop.
Vicente Hernández (Batabanó, 1971), with a tour of different scenarios such as Italy and the United States of America. He has participated in dissimilar personal and collective exhibitions. present in prestigious auctions such as Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips in New York. His work is part of collections such as the Cernuda Arte Gallery in Florida and the Sebastian Foundation from a cultural exchange trip of the artist to Mexico in 2018.
DIONEL DELGADO [Guanabacoa, 1983] Once he finished his studies at the Academy of San Alejandro in Cuba, he began his first steps by being part of the catalog of Galería 10/10 in Mexico City, a collection supported by the philanthropic and patronage work undertaken by Norman Bardavid Nissim with Cuban art. The artist’s work has been shown in different museums in Mexico as part of the tour of the editorial and museographic project “Revelación. Eleven Cuban artists in the XXI century” and individually in the United States of America at The Foosaner Art Museum (2012) and currently at The Appleton Museum of Art in the city of Ocala, Florida. His paintings and drawings are also in private collections in Italy, Spain, the United States, Belgium, among others.
