Bordello Galeria is happy to present a special two-day pop-up exhibition of one of San Miguel’s best loved artists – Andrew Osta.
Andrew creates whimsical, iconic, and authentically personal images reminiscent of Marc Chagall. His painting style captures timeless impressions of the essential San Miguel, populated with flying mariachis, roaming dogs and ice-cream eating cats. His goal is to produce magic and share it with others. He does this by capturing his favorite dreams and memories in oil on canvas.
Currently living in Oaxaca with his wife and two children, Ukrainian born, Andrew exhibits internationally with European, American, Canadian and Mexican Influences in his resume. His playful style crosses all borders.
This artist has already reached international recognition, yet he continues to sell at Mexican prices. Living in Mexico since 2011, he wants his paintings to be accessible to the Mexican collector. Andrew also does commission work and will be available to discuss options during his exhibit.
When asked about his success as a painter Andrew points to an impeccable work ethic that has led to artistic longevity. Although still young, he is approaching 20 years of being a professional artist.
Earlier this month, he placed a number of works in two salons in the very heart of Cannes and Monaco. In September he flies to the US for an exhibition in Louisiana. With a wife and two children, not to mention a whole bunch of family animals, he is a busy man.
