It seems that artists in San Miguel concentrate on painting scenes of our picturesque city, but rarely of the beautiful surrounding countryside, the Bajío. Yet, in a certain sense, the Bajío is the true heart of Mexico.
Samuel Pérez Lugo (1986) was born in Plancarte, near Celaya. His love for the Bajio landscape is evident in his work. His landscapes capture the sense of the space, the colors, and the tranquility of the place where he was born.

Emmanuel Sierra is a native of San Miguel de Allende. He is a visual artist whose works lean toward the abstract. He has exhibited his art in México, Cuba, and the United States
