 Writers’ Conference Offers Sale Price on Selected Events

The Writers’ Conference is excited to announce a Weekend Sale on select tickets to the Writers’ Conference. On January 17, 18, 19 only, we offer a discount on tickets to all panels, the Literary Death Match, all our 3-Hour Intensive Workshops, and the Writers’ Conference Quinceañera. Quinceañera

This year’s Conference party is entirely new and filled with surprises we can’t reveal ahead of time. More than a fiesta, our party this year will be a full-blown quinceañera in celebration of the fifteenth birthday of the Conference. Bringing literary excellence to San Miguel for fifteen years is a lot to celebrate! This will be an epic event. Friday, February 14 at 8:00 PM in a special tent in the Real de Minas gardens.

Literary Death Match

In this fun-filled version of literary readings, you will hear four esteemed writers read from their works. The readings are not necessarily funny; they may be dramatic, suspenseful, or moving. But the context in which they occur will leave you in stitches. Judges for the event this year are award-winning Canadian novelist Joseph Boyden, MOTH champion storyteller and actor Jamie Brickhouse, and New York Times bestselling novelist, Ellen Sussman. Friday, February 14, 2:00 PM in the Real de Minas ballroom.

Outstanding Panels

Discount tickets to our panels will save you a bundle. Worried about crime in Mexico? You will be astounded and enlightened to hear the famous, charismatic Benito Taibo and other panelists discussing, “Tools for Young People, an Alternative to Crime: Reading and Creative Writing.” Our Saturday special panel on Global Migration gives you the opportunity to hear several of our keynote speakers, especially wonderful if you can’t attend the keynote addresses themselves. We also offer panels on Memoir, working with agents, and using research as a writing tool. All panels are sale priced this weekend only.
