Three speakers you’ve heard and loved return with new, fascinating presentations:

Dylan Terrell, Caminos de Agua founder, champion of clean, safe water solutions for our communities, on The Water Crisis in San Miguel: How It Affects You and Your Neighbors and What We Can Do about It. Discover how Caminos de Agua is pioneering solutions to the urgent need for clean, safe water in San Miguel’s communities! (January 21)

Lawyer and author Suzanna Dworsky on Defaming the Truth-Tellers: How Governments Use Criminal Defamation Laws to Prosecute and Imprison Writers. Riveting true stories of criminal defamation cases against journalists show how governments abuse the law to undermine the power of the press. (January 28)

Gerry Helferich and his wife, Teresa Nicholas, on their journey From Nonfiction to Truth: How Two Award-Winning Authors Moved from History and Memoir to Fiction and Poetry. A writing couple shares the secrets of the writing life! Hear the inspiring story of how they changed to new genres, the challenges they faced, how they collaborate—and hear them read from their new work. (February 4)

San Miguel’s own beloved Jim McKeever and Alfredo García-Lucio, of Camino Silvestre and Néctar restaurant fame, debut with their wonderful story of Passionate Gardening: From Garden to Table to Healthy Living in San Miguel. Come hear how two life and business partners pool their skills to supply their restaurant, test-cook the dishes they serve there, and share the secrets of gardening, nutrition and healthy living. (February 18)

And, to cap our season, beloved poet and provocateur Judyth Hill will read poems and present her exciting vision for women writers in Women Out Loud: PEN, the Global Kapow! of Poetry, and YOU!
